Welcome to Vacation Bible School 2022
Join us in Hometown Nazareth, where we'll explore what life was like when Jesus wasa kid. You'll craft cool projects in the Marketplace, laugh as you play Bible-times games, visit with Jesus' mom, Mary, and eat foods just like the ones Jesus ate. Plus, you'll meet lots of new friends!

We’re looking forward to seeing you!
Our stories this year are about the early years of the life of Jesus. You probably know by heart the Christmas story found in Luke chapter 2. We hear it every year either in Sunday School or a church pageant or the Peanuts Christmas special. The shepherds are told the good news of Jesus’ birth and go to the stable to see him. They then head back to their sheep, joyfully telling everyone they meet about the birth of their Savior. In verse 19 of Luke’s Gospel, we read: “But Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart”. The memories of Mary are the focus of our stories this year.
Our storyteller, as Mary, will tell us about Angel Gabriel’s visit, the birth of Jesus and his presentation to the Lord in Jerusalem, the escape to Egypt, the scary moment when she realized twelve-year-old Jesus had stayed behind in Jerusalem after the feast of the Passover, and Jesus’ first miracle.
We can’t take you back in time, but we can guide you through crafts that give you an idea of the materials available to the people of Nazareth. Perhaps you will spend some time in tents, and you will snack on food similar to what was grown in Israel. You’ll pack birthday boxes for the food pantry to honor the birth of Jesus. You will play games, hopefully outside. And you will sing! The music has always been a special part of the Vacation Bible School programs.
At the end of each evening, we invite you and your family to join us at the table for snacks. On Sunday, July 24, we hope you will attend our Sunday service. We will sing our songs with the congregation and show off our crafts at the reception after the service.
